Exactly six (6) months after super typhoon Yolanda (haiyan) hardly hit the provinces in Visayas Region but until now the victims are still suffering from the wrath of the typhoon fueled by the continuing government’s criminal neglect.

As BS Aquino and rehabilitation Czar Panfilo Lacson failed to address the needs of the typhoon victims many people have succumbed to death due to hunger and spread of diseases, displaced families remain homeless as result of ‘No dwelling zone policy’ imposed by local government units and Malacanang, billions of donations have not been delivered to the victims while tons of goods rot inside govt’s warehouses.

For the past six months, only the international and local NGOs, cause-oriented groups, people’s organizations and the victims themselves have initiated efforts in responding to the needs of the victims by conducting relief and rehabilitation programs. Through the ‘People Surge’, an alliance of the victims of Typhoon Yolanda, the victims have untiringly exposed the government’s negligence and utter incompetence. However, victims’ legitimate demands were turned down by the Aquino.

The victims of yolanda and the entire Filipino people are already tired of waiting for government’s action.

The endeavor of TFCos to provide medical and psychosocial provision to the victims of Typhoon Yolanda in Northern Samar is very much welcome. Let’s help the TFCos in making the activity possible. Help the Yolanda victims.

Finally, we have to hold the Aquino government accountable for making the lives of the Yolanda victims more miserable.
