TABANG: Ricostruire L’esistenza dei Sopravvisuti Tifone Haiyan nella Provincia di Samar

Standard

The Task Force Children of the Storm is currently implementing the project  “TABANG: Ricostruire L’esistenza dei Sopravvisuti Tifone Haiyan nella Provincia di Samar” in partnership with ARCI Toscana and with the support of Regione Toscana. The said project is being implemented in three areas, namely: Paranas, Samar; Lope de Vega, Northern Samar and Borongan, Eastern Samar. It aims to provide health missions and livelihood programs for Haiyan-affected communities in the said areas.

The livelihood programs are to be implemented together with local farmers associations and people’s organizations so as to ensure aptness of the said programs.

The health camps consist of medical mission and psychosocial first aid and will benefit 3,000 individuals (1,000 per area). Half of the beneficiaries will be children. The first health camp is scheduled on May 17-19, 2014 in Northern Samar and the other two are to be conducted between the second and third quarters of the year.

We are in need of additional help for the health camps. Volunteer doctors, dentists, nurses, psychologists and social workers are very much welcome to attend any of the three health camps to be conducted. Additional medicines and medical supplies will be of great help.
